Sashelas's Wrath

Sashelas's Wrath is built entirely of black pearl. It looks as if it was cut from one impossibly large black pearl. It was made far back into the God Era, willed into existence by the god Sashelas. He used it as focus of power for shaping the lands beneath the seas and oceans. When Sashelas and the others left the Prime to the mortals, he seems to have intentionally left the Baton of Sashelas on Bal-Kriav. Even though it could not be found magically, a reconnaissance unit of Aldír Geleb eventually stumbled upon it. It was taken to the general staff and with hesitation they agreed to make use of its knowledge. They used it to find sources of power like the Sea Tunnel, and determine areas of the realm that would be most habitable for them. The Baton of Sashelas guided them down the Sea Tunnel and then west to an area off the coasts of Iizus Yeldah where they founded the settlement of Merenwen.

In the Fifth Thane War, the army of Merenwen decided to use a relic left over from the time when Sashelas built worlds and led their ancestors into battle. This item is called the Baton of Sashelas, better known to those on the receiving end of it as Sashelas's Wrath. When they used it on Onai'gom, it totally destroyed the city and wiped out the population. No trace of the city was left:

It was as if the place never existed, a relic powerful beyond our imagination, and one used by Great Sashelas to carve mountains, valleys, and shape the land beneath the oceans.

Sadly, it was not met to be wielded by us petty mortals, for in using it against Onai'gom, we failed to understand that to power it required someone with the might of a God of Creation. The Baton of Sashelas used 99% of its own power to pull off what would be its last action of creation.

 - Albor Elphiroth, city historian of Merenwen, "Annihilation of Onai'gom"

Even though it was drained of most of its powers, Sashelas's Wrath is a potent weapon for any mortal. The weapon is very dangerous to even get near in the water, continuously raiding a 10' sphere of electrical energy. Fortunately for anyone wielding it, they are immune to this Lighting Blast. When taken outside of the water, this effect functions like a normal Lighting Blast power.

Sashelas's Wrath is a +9 lighting blast trident of might cleaving.

Beast Warriors of Zagul-Tîn

Zagul-Tîn Werebear
Zagul-Tîn is a tungesti tribe that prays solely to what they call the Bear Spirit, which is really just a different manifestation of the god Silvanus.

Like most tungesti, the Zagul-Tîn have a distrust of the arcane, which does not equally apply to the druidic and shamanic arts.

The Zagul-Tîn have a custom that when a warrior reaches fighting age, he is bitten by a werebear. Those strong enough to survive the first night when the beast blood takes over, become werebears. Those that do not survive this first onset of lycanthropy are forgotten.

The nomadic lands of this tribe covers parts of Hlothruk and tracts of the Troll Bogs.

In the Athena Crusade, the werebear army fielded by the Zagul-Tîn proved particularly useful in fighting the undead. This was because the werebears ritually anointed their claws in liquid soul-fire, a substance that is devastatingly effective against undead.

Cari'phis and the Cube Incident

Cari'phis
Cari'phis is a frost giant primordial. Her body radiates such extreme cold that even those immune to normal cold are subject to the unholy cold emanating from her. She is the wife of Thyrm, and as such often referred to as the Ice Queen. Before she met Thyrm, she served Piranoth in the planes of Piranoth's Steps. While helping shape the Ice Wastes, she was exposed to the same dark energy that was seeping across Piranoth's Steps. By the time, she was captured by angelic forces, her body had completely changed from that of a frost giant to something akin to a demonic abomination.

In the Dawn War, she battled the forces under Moradin across Malurn and Šorrôzê. She was so powerful, nearing that of the Nine Tongue Worm, that it required a god to face off against her. When she was captured by the Golden Seven, Ares took it upon himself to have her dumped into the Cube of Infinity. He claims it was an accident, and that the magical net holding her broke apart from being too close to the Cube's energies. Loki is said to have laughed and quipped:

So you took her over the Cube on your way to Denerra, instead of going around it? Oh Ares, we need to get together sometime and have drinks.

- Loki, at a court hearing against Ares, "The Cube Incident"

When Ares "accidentally" dropped Cari'phis into the Cube of Infinity, Thyrm became an eternal enemy of him. It is unknown if Cari'phis died from falling into the Cube. When Crimson Eye made a foray into the lands of Igas, they came across elite Artaxertus soldiers with her symbol emblazoned on their armor and shields. Whether this is Thyrm keeping the memory of her alive or that she has a cult following has yet to be learned.

Some have speculated that the changing nature of Ice Cap may have come about from Cari'phis being dumped in the Cube. The dark blue ice expansion into this region from the direction of the Cube started about three centuries after she disappeared into the Cube, so the theories may have some basis.

Forsaken Six

Zephyr Talon Threat Marker

Excerpt from the Forsaken Six

In the God Era, angels and gods battled demons and demon lords seeking to carve out portions of the Prime for themselves. One of the worlds where this Demon Spawn War was waged is Bal-Kriav. The supreme general of this world was Asmodeus. He divided the world into sectors, or regions and assigned them to his top generals - archangels and minor gods. Ma'Ohari was assigned to the then archangel Silvanus. In this sector, he waged war with an up and coming demon lord named Graz'zt.

One of the units under Silvanus was the 2nd Light Division, or Zephyr Talon. This unit was tasked with scouting and picking off stragglers. A few members of this group left a stain on the realm that is oddly not mentioned in any of the Plaques of Aphalur.

The treants of Einglach tell legends of a curse or corruption that befell a group of archons that thousands of years ago were based in the Gianthead Crags. In each of the legends, they call this group the Forsaken Six.

The treants, each with a varying tale of them, usually portray them as neutrals and not leaning to much to either side of the balance. Zephyr Talon was a crack unit specializing in stealth operations.   They were tasked with patrolling a large area of Ma'Ohari.  Somewhere along the line, perhaps from strain of war, a few of the the unit's soldiers took to performing battle rituals which involved the blood and body parts of their slain enemies. They would boil the demon blood and use it in war tattoos, coloring their armor and weapons with it. The demon body parts were used in necklaces or as territorial markers to threaten the demons. These practices had their intended effect on the enemy, for if not in overwhelming numbers, the demons would often run from the sight or even rumor of them being in the area.

Open the Gates

Dinosaur Battletitan
In the Hoof Front, Oratu Iru was assailed numerous times by hordes of demons.  They never breached the wall.

The most harrowing time of the seemingly endless siege against the place was the Nightmare Onslaught.  This battle occurred at night, and under the cover of deep fog.  Nearly 10,000 demons attacked the wall and succeeded in getting troops inside where a massive melee went on for six hours.  The battle was turned when Asmodeus teleported to a safe teleportation zone and joined in the fight, battling all manner of demons, side by side with Tharuz, son of Moradin.  Outside the wall, Bahamut and his retinue of gold dragons made strafing runs against the demons clambering up wall to openings being rapidly dug out.  These opening were being made by demon worms that they aptly referred to as bores.  These translucent worms were far less resistant than the demons to fire, they burned in a smoke so foul that even the demons around them could not hold in their last meal.  Oratu Iru held on that day and long after the demons bypassed the place.

When Orcus's forces reached Agiid Hil, Oratu Iru was 150 miles behind enemy lines, and still under daily attack.  Five months later, in Operation Crab Advance, the defenders of Oratu Iru were relieved when they saw the banners of Asmodeus coming up the pass.  Their supreme general mounted on a huge dinosaur battletitan, saluted them, and then said in magically loud voice - "Open the Gates".  It was the first time that the gates of Oratu Iru were opened since they were set into their thresholds.
